Another day in the cleanest metropolis in the world. Have I mentioned that yet? (Well I guess I could check couldn't I?) This place is so huge, so huge, and so clean! And safe! We've wandered the streets at all hours for the last three nights, and not once have we felt uneasy. People don't even lock their bikes. Wonderful.
So were draggin' ass a little bit today, but we still hit the streets around 11am. Just walked outside and headed south. No plans, unlike the past few days where we had some structure. The first notable thing we stumbled across was this indoor (sorta) soccer pitch. And adjacent was a 100 Yen Store--or Dollar Store--so we cruised around in there for a while and bought some crap.

It's funny, there are street markets
everywhere, and they're always packed! Don't these people work?
Jesus Christ. (Speaking of Christ, we ran into some incredibly judgmental Jesus freaks from Bakersfield, CA at the park yesterday, but that's another story.) This market was okay, if nothing else at least it was shaded. I bought a shirt with the
Boss Coffee guy on it. I'll never wear it but it's a cool shirt because of the funny memories attached.

Oh and we saw an alien spacecraft hovering above the river.

The whole time we've been here we've wanted a birds-eye view of the city, and we came pretty close today after sneaking to the 25th floor of a hotel. Even though it's hazy, you get a rough idea of the scale of Tokyo. The city goes on for much, much farther than these photos allow you to see. Imagine 360-degrees of this:

There are these temple's near our hostel, and we walked over to check them out today. I'm glad we did because we had a good time. I posted a few videos from this place, so once again make sure you click the "complete library" link under the 4 videos at the top to see them all.
I got some sweet videos of this monkey, so check those out too.
It's about 5:45pm now and I'm not sure what we're doing tonight, but I'm sure we'll get into something considering it's our last night in Japan!
More tomorrow.
