Thai Life

I'm in Bangkok at an Internet cafe, and it's about 1am. You can imagine my state of mind at the moment; a bit hazy.
Anyway I can't upload pictures because these damned places don't have USB ports, but as soon as I get to Singapore on the 28th I'll put all the videos and pics on the site.
I have 4 minutes left on the desktop, so I'll try and make this quick. We landed in Bangkok with nowhere to go, so I scoped my LonleyPlanet guide and we decided to hit the first hotel that was listed. It turned out for the best; we're in a great tourist area with loads of English-speaking people, a welcomed change from Tokyo. We've met Brits, Canuks, Irish, Whatevers all over the place. Not bad for a couple of SDSU kids. We've got along just fine actually. Like I said it's quite different from Tokyo, a bit more sketch and a bit more dirty. No problems though.
Sort of a curveball: I haven't gotten in touch with Steve. His phone is jacked and it's straight to voicemail on every ring. We've been Facebooking, but still no face-to-face contact. Hopefully we get together in the next couple days so he can lead us out of Bangkok and onto the beach.
Daniel and I saw Batman: The Dark Knight earlier today. Fairly entertaining. A well-done high-budget blockbuster, with a enough unexpected twists to keep you entertained. I like Batman much more than every other DORKY-ASS COMIC BOOK MOVIE. So much more. I tend to agree with what I've read many times already; Heath Ledger deserves at least a supporting actor nomination at the Oscars. He was phenomeanal, as was the rest of the cast.
I have to submit the post now without proof reading because I have like 10 seconds left. I'm safe so family fear-not! More as soon as I can. Take care now, bye bye then.

OMG it's ROBIN said...

Laura told me that you saw The Dark Knight and i thought it was funny that we're all in completely different places but are all doing the same things - well not really but kinda. Glad that you're having a good time in Thailand!
