So I'm leaving soon. Very soon. Leaving for China. China and Vietnam and Laos and Thailand and Malaysia.
Here's the itinerary for China, laid out because we had no choice. "No booked iteinerary, no visas, no Big Red!", yelled the woman at the China Embassy. We call her Sunshine. (The visas, by the way, cost me $190 and my Swedish friend $50. Ahh, to be an American.)
- Take a train from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday afternoon.
- Sleep in the airport because my travel buddy thinks it's a good idea.
- Take an 8am flight to Shanghai, China on Friday.
- Take an overnight train to Beijing on Sunday.
- See the Great Wall!
- Take a train from Beijing to Hanoi, Vietnam on Thursday.
- Arrive in Hanoi on Saturday.
That much we know. After we get to Hanoi, we'll do whatever we want. No reservations or obligations. Click here to see a map of Asia. After it loads, click on it once to zoom in, then find Beijing and Singapore. We're traveling by train from one to the other. Whoa...
I'll document the trip on this very website, just as I did for Tokyo and Bangkok. Questions? Leave a comment and I'll answer them. Sound good?
*To my family and friends: I miss you guys.

udder I mean. Sorry.
Borgoe if I didn't have enough money for a hostel in KL how would I make it through the rest of the semester? Don't answer that! Wait till we're lying on the tile in the airport and I'll ask you again...
So how many units are you getting for this "Class Called Life", are you sure that their transferrable? I heard the teacher is a real dick and likes to disappear when people are having a good time. Have fun buddy, and keep me posted.
Life is Life man. You know what I'm sayin? No credits, but everything's transferable.
it gonna be the best night in your whole life. Lets count how many times we can hear: "Dont leave your bag unattended"
My guess.... 1348 times.
We miss you too Dakota. Be safe.
